Dukes London has announced the appointment of Robert Swoboda as its new head of sales and marketing.
Swoboda returns to the Dukes team having previously been the sales manager at Dukes London and Dukes Dubai between 2016 – 2018. During this time, he was responsible for key accounts from all leisure and group sectors, with an emphasis on the USA, Canada and European markets. In his role Dukes said he will “utilise his experience to build relationships for Dukes London”.
Duke’s London said Swoboda has “extensive hospitality experience” and was also previously senior sales manager for Como Hotels and Resort, where it added he found “creative methods of revenue generation, stimulating new business growth despite the Covid-19 crisis”.
General manager Michael Purtill, said: “I am delighted to welcome Robert back into the Dukes London family. With his highly engaging personality, passion for the hotel, and excellent connections with the guests, Robert will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of Dukes London and creating a phenomenal future.
“Swoboda’s strong sales background and proven record in effective sales strategies combined with his previous knowledge of Dukes brand, sets him in good stead for his role as head of sales and marketing at Dukes London.”
Swoboda added: “I am very excited to be returning to Dukes London and reconnecting with former clients and colleagues. It feels wonderful to be back in the St James’s community, which has a very special close-knit neighbourly ambience.”
