Vindomora Country Lodges has been brought to market for an undisclosed amount.
The “award-winning” collection of five-star holiday lodges is located along the River Derwent on the Northumberland and Durham border.
It is reported that the 1.18-acre site just outside of Ebchester comprises eight luxury timber lodges with their own private hot tub and BBQ area. The grounds also feature a club house and two self-contained apartments within this building.
The park is also said to offer an “ideal” base for visitors looking to explore the historic Northumberland countryside, with walking and cycling tracks, local attractions such as Beamish Museum and Slaley Hall, and the larger cities of Newcastle and Durham all within easy reach.
In addition, Vindomora has also won several awards including ‘Gold Winner: Accessible and Inclusive Award’ and ‘Bronze Winner: Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year’ in the North East England Tourism Awards 2022.
David Lee, regional director of hotels at Christie and Co, said: “Vindomora Country Lodges park was developed four years ago following the vision of a local man who wanted to provide luxury accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Since their opening, the lodges have built up an excellent reputation, despite trade being disrupted by the pandemic.
“However, the business hasn’t yet reached its full potential and presents an excellent opportunity for a more experienced owner to take it forward and we look forward to hearing from interested parties.”
