Daish Holidays has announced the appointment of three new senior managers at the Devonshire Hotel in Torquay.
Ronnie Gibson has joined as general manager, Stephen Cowie has joined as duty manager and Dimitar Georgiev has also been promoted to duty manager.
With almost 20 years experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, Gibson has moved from Daish’s Holidays’ County Hotel in Kendal to take up the position of general manager. Cowie has joined the company from Travelodge.
Gibson will lead a team of 42 at the 75-bedroom hotel and will oversee all aspects of the hotel operations.
Meanwhile, Georgiev has worked for Daish’s Holidays for more than seven years in various roles across three of the holiday group’s hotels. His most recent position was as bar manager at the Hotel Prince Regent in Weymouth.
Gibson said: “I enjoy working within the Daish’s family as they allow individual managers to manage and shape the hotel in an individual way, ensuring that the whole hotel team work closely together and are comfortable as well as confident to deliver a first-class service to our customers.
“As a hotel earning a TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award for the seventh year running, I am very much looking forward to continuing to provide the best possible service and facilities to guests staying at the hotel.”
Paul Harper, commercial director at Daish’s Holidays, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Ronnie, Dimitar and Stephen to the Devonshire Hotel and value the experience each brings to their roles. With their combined wealth of experience and expertise in the hospitality industry, they are fantastic assets to the team.”
