The Green Dragon Hotel sold for £2.9m

The Green Dragon Hotel on Broad Street in Hereford has been sold to a consortium of investors off a freehold asking price of £2.9m.

Historically a coaching inn dating back to the 16th century, the hotel occupies a Grade II listed property, and provides 83 en-suite bedrooms, arranged across four floors, as well as public areas and banqueting facilities.

The hotel also features a grand ballroom, which can accommodate for 200 covers, and five conference rooms of various sizes, which can also be utilised as private dining rooms.

Matthew Smith, director at Christie & Co’s Bristol office, who is handling the sale, said: “This is a great opportunity for the new owners to refurbish, develop and raise the profile of this distinctive and historic city centre hotel, and we wish them every success in their new venture.”
