Sofitel London St James has recently launched La Terrasse by Sofitel, a new dining experience in the heart of London.
La Terrasse is a French Riviera inspired outdoor dining experience, bringing a slice of the French art de vivre to London. With Riviera inspired sights, smells and tastes, La Terrasse will give guests a full Mediterranean experience just a few steps away from London’s Pall Mall.
To ensure that guests appreciate the very best of French wine, the wine menu has been curated with Friarwood Fine Wines. Its team of connoisseurs and sommeliers have hand picked each bottle to compliment the food menu and enhance the dining experience.
The focus of each wine is on unparalleled craftsmanship and rigorous quality standards, to bring the very best to La Terrasse by Sofitel.
Open until 30 September and with regular live music, the hotel said La Terrasse is an ideal spot for an al fresco lunch or dinner, where guests can choose from dishes including grilled Galician octopus, beef tartare served with truffle mayonnaise, a French assiette de charcuterie or the lighter option of a classic tuna niçoise.
In addition, La Terrasse by Sofitel will offer a daily Afternoon Tea from 3 to 16 July.
La Terrasse by Sofitel sits within the Sofitel London St James hotel, located minutes away from Buckingham Palace, Leicester Square and St James’ Park. The hotel is designed to “whisk its guests into a world of Parisian elegance and La Terrasse is the next step in this French journey”.
Marie-Paule Nowlis, general manager of Sofitel London St James, said: “The idea behind La Terrasse by Sofitel is to offer a quiet little haven in central London, where guests can enjoy all the senses of the French Riviera whilst moments from some of London’s most iconic landmarks.
“The Sofitel London St James has always been infused with the elegance and style of the French and we feel that we evoke a ‘summer in France’ atmosphere with La Terrasse and a level of escapism that is so often needed in London.”
