The Elms Hotel & Spa joins PoB Hotels collection

In this episode we speak to Nico Tréguer, co-founder of Roberts and Treguer and The Culpeper Family. Nico spoke about founding the group alongside his longtime friend Gareth, having had a vision for bringing more nature spaces to cities, the planned extension of The Buxton in Spitalfields, and how the site’s storytelling engages guests and the local community, how the Culpeper Family’s core sustainability ethos helped it secure its B-Corp status and why hospitality has a responsibility to educate and innovate when it comes to sustainability.

PoB Hotels has confirmed that The Elms Hotel and Spa in Worcestershire has joined its collection of independent hotels.

The Elms Hotel has recently completed an extensive refurbishment project, and offers guests a holistic luxury experience “encompassing the key attributes of a PoB Hotel”.

The site is an independently owned and managed boutique hotel, and its features include “beautifully preserved” Queen Anne architecture, manicured lawns and acres of parkland.

It comprises 23 rooms and suites, all designed by Darron Woore. No two suites are the same and interiors include historic stained glass windows, tartan fabrics, luxurious marble, and hushed grey tones.

In addition to the rooms and suites in the main house, guests can stay in the coach houses, each of which includes two roll top baths. With direct access to the gardens, these rooms are described as an “ideal choice” for additional privacy and those who wish to bring a dog along.

The hotel also features a “state-of-the-art” botanical-inspired spa, The Greenhouse Spa at The Elms, which offers an array of facilities including an indoor swimming pool, indoor/outdoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna, two steam rooms and an experience shower. It also offers guests five treatment rooms, a relaxation room, manicure and pedicure stations.

In addition, the fitness suite is fully equipped with stationary machines, weights, a spin studio, HIIT workout area, and an outdoor tennis court. This year, The Greenhouse Spa at The Elms launched an IV Clinic, offering a variety of IV drips that deliver vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream.

The hotel’s restaurant, Badgers, offers “delectable” British fare and a Sunday lunch menu designed by executive chef Steve Link. The Elms also offers other F&B choices from a traditional afternoon tea as well as the option for private dining.

Kalindi Juneja, CEO of PoB Hotels, said: “We are excited to share The Elms Hotel with our discerning guests. This is our first hotel in the destination of Worcestershire, and so fits really well with introducing new regions and ways of exploring the British Isles. Their engaging attitude to hospitality and wellness coupled with their focus on sustainability makes this an ideal PoB Hotel.”

Mark Bevan, MD of The Elms, added: “We are thrilled to be joining PoB Hotels. PoB Hotels is a smart collection of beautiful hotels, for which I feel The Elms is a perfect fit. We are looking forward to welcoming PoB Hotels guests to experience all we have to offer in our boutique manor in Worcestershire and the surrounding area.”
