Lionhearth Group, the new Cotswold pub collection, has opened the doors to The Black Horse in Salford.
The new Cotswolds pub group, Lionhearth Group, has opened the doors of The Black Horse in Salford, following an “extensive refurbishment”.
The kitchen will serve all day lunches, pub classics and a relaxed dinner menu set around the grill and rotisserie – sourced within 20 miles where possible.
The Salford Cottage, the new one bedroom suite, features a “spacious” lounge, fully functional kitchenette and a bedroom for overnight stays.
The cottage features a more neutral palate in the bedroom and living spaces with “warm” accents.
The opening is the first of a pipeline of new openings for Lionhearth Group over the next 12 months.
Meanwhile, the interiors of the pub have retained the character of the property, and includes deep hues of maroon and forest green paired with dark antique wood, classic panelling and soft mood lighting.
The Black Horse will present a selection of local beers and a wine menu.
Guests can order simple lunches and pub classics throughout the week, with an additional dinner menu available in the evening.
All dishes are made using local produce and served with a choice of sides made for sharing.
Dishes include prime rib or porterhouse cuts from the grill, whole free range chickens from Adlington Farm cooked rotisserie, and sides include hasselback potatoes, rotisserie onions, mac and cheese, BBQ corn and garlicky field mushrooms.
Scott Macdonald, managing director, Lionhearth Group, said: “We’re excited to welcome locals and visitors back to one of our favourite spots outside of Chipping Norton, The Black Horse in Salford. We’ve given the property a new lease of life, with stylish interiors that retain that all important pub feel.”
