Beaverbrook to open Mickleham Village

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Beaverbrook has announced that it is set to open a new guest house called Mickleham Village in December 2023.

Mickleham Village has 21 guest rooms, housed across a collection of 10 cottages, as well as a new restaurant, and an events space.

Guests will be able to choose from classic or deluxe rooms, as well as studio suites and suites, in line with the estate’s existing room categories.

The luxury suites are named after literary and artistic giants of the Romantic period, and the Victorian and Edwardian era.

Bedrooms start from 39 square metres, spanning up to the largest Suite at 53 square metres, and offer a range of unique features.

The restaurant at Mickleham will be a British style restaurant and will be named Mrs Beeton’s after the famous Victorian chef.

Carrying through the literary and artistic theme, The Writer’s Block is the event space at Mickleham that can accommodate up to 22 people for tailored events.
