MGallery UK has announced the appointment of Anthony Wright as new executive head chef at The Municipal Hotel Liverpool – MGallery.  

The Municipal Hotel Liverpool, part of the MGallery Hotel Collection, Accor Group’s luxury boutique-hotel  brand, is home to all-day dining destination Palm Court, brasserie-style restaurant Seaforth and the Botanic Tearoom. Wright will oversee all three establishments. 

With over 23 years of experience in the industry and winner of the ‘Head Chef of the Year 2023’ at The Liverpool Hospitality People Awards, he will bring his passion for creating world-class dishes to the hotel’s F&B offering. 

He holds numerous awards including Staff Canteen’s ‘Chef Member  of the Year’ 2022 and accolades as runner up for Liverpool’s ‘Best Restaurant’ in 2020 and Liverpool’s ‘Hidden Gem Award’ in the Liverpool Tourism Awards 2019. 

Wright joins The Municipal Hotel from the L20 Restaurant where he spent 10 years being part of a  team and training the next generation of chefs, and where he has been head chef since 2016. 

 

Speaking on his appointment, he said: “It is a fantastic opportunity to be joining The Municipal Hotel  Liverpool – MGallery as its Executive Chef. It is a truly beautiful place and my mission is to ensure guests  who dine with us have the most memorable experience and want to come back for more. I’m looking forward  to working with the team and serving exceptional food.”
