Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth has announced the appointment of Pat Green as the new general manager and Poppy Royle as operations manager, effective from the end of March.
The news comes as general manager, Theo Iakimov, will be moving from the role “to a fresh challenge outside hospitality”.
Operations manager Marcin Kalinowski, who has worked on the team since 2009, will also be moving on to a new senior management role.
Green joins the family-owned hotel from the Oceana Group, where she was group operations manager. She brings a wealth of experience, including knowledge of the local hotel sector.
Meanwhile, Royle joins from Balmer Lawn Hotel in the New Forest.
Clare Blakemore, managing director of Hotel Miramar, said: “We are genuinely enormously proud of everything that we have achieved as a team over the past few years. We are a family-run hotel, not a large chain, and teamwork is vital. The hotel has undergone significant refurbishment works, we survived the pandemic, and have continued to provide premium quality for our guests.
“Hotel Miramar enjoys an excellent reputation, and we are excited that Pat and Poppy will be here for the next stage of our journey. We have plans for a new summer menu, have a calendar of live music lined up, and of course summer weddings by the sea.”
She added: “We thank Theo and Marcin for all they have achieved and for leaving everything in place for the new management team to hit the ground running. I know Pat and Poppy are really looking forward to joining the Miramar team and are eager to meet new and returning guests offering our home from home vibe.”
