The Stafford Collection has announced the appointment of John McLean as its new general manager.
McLean joins the group with two decades of experience in the hotel hospitality industry, having worked in five-star properties across the world.
Most recently, he served as interim general manager of The Cadogan Hotel in Chelsea.
He also previously worked as general manager of The Kensington; hotel manager and interim general manager of Brown’s Hotel London; and executive head of F&B of The Lanesborough.
Renowned for “realigning and repositioning” the hotels he manages, McLean is also a Springboard ambassador and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, as well as the UK Institute of Hospitality.
Under his leadership, his team was also awarded the Forbes Five Star Award for “an exceptional property offering the highest levels of service and quality”.
The board of directors of the Stafford Collection said: “We are delighted to welcome John to the team at the Stafford Collection. He brings with him vast industry experience and, coupled with a strong set of values, he will be an incredible asset as we continue to deliver the high level of customer service for which the Stafford Collection is renowned.”
McLean added: “I am very much looking forward to joining the team at the Stafford Collection, and to build on the legacy that has already been created. To work in these storied properties and to lead the teams in offering a level of service that goes above and beyond, is something that I am delighted to be a part of.”
