A collection of holiday cottages and apartments located on the Lake District has been placed on the market for £1.8m.

Early interest is being advised for Bridge House and Cottages, with the properties considered an investment opportunity due to “significant” revenue potential and a “perfect location”.

Situated just a stone’s throw from the market town of Keswick and framed by some of the Lakes’ fells, the Bridge House collection comprises six award-winning holiday cottages and apartments.

Located a 10-minute walk from the shores of Derwent Water, Bridge House and Cottages have been recently renovated to a “high standard”.

Each property, ranging from one to four bedrooms, offers private parking, utility facilities, and access to communal gardens, lawns, terraces and a private tennis court.

The properties comprise Bridge House, Bridge Cottage, Bridge Mews and Bridge House Apartments.

Bridge House is a four-bedroom townhouse dating back to 1727, combining luxury with historical “charm” across three floors. It features a large dining kitchen, utility room, and multiple ensuite bedrooms, all adorned with original features and modern amenities.

Bridge Cottage is a three-bedroom cottage located in the courtyard, offering a lounge with a log-burning stove and an open kitchen diner.

Meanwhile, Bridge Mews is a one-bedroom cobbled cottage with luxurious fittings and Bridge House Apartments is composed of three restored apartments, each with underfloor heating and original Georgian features, providing views of the Lakeland Fells and offering a range of accommodations from three-bedroom layouts to a second-floor apartment with a large lounge and kitchen.

Keswick, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and stunning natural surroundings, is a hub for tourists visiting the Lake District. The town boasts a variety of shops, restaurants, and bars, alongside parks and numerous walking trails.

Its proximity to Derwentwater and the surrounding fells makes it an ideal location for outdoor activities and cultural exploration.

David Britton, the managing director of David Britton Estates, which has been appointed to market the properties, said: “This unique property ensemble offers a rare chance to invest in Keswick’s thriving tourist market.

“The revenue potential is substantial, with Keswick enjoying strong year-round visitor numbers and related demand for quality self-catering accommodation. Opportunities of this nature do not arise often. We expect demand from potential investors to be strong – so I would urge interested parties to get in touch without delay.”
