The Pig Hotels has appointed Sophie Perry as hotel director of The Pig in the Cotswolds.
Perry has been working as deputy general manager since January 2021 at The Pig at Combe. Prior to this, she took on the role of bar manager at The Pig at Harlyn Bay in 2020, and by October that same year became F&B manager.
Other roles included a ski chalet at Meribel, general manager at Truro’s Old Grammar School’s Cocktail and Tapas bar weddings and events co-ordinator at Bedruthan Hotel in Mawgan Porth and assistant GM at Fifteen at Watergate Bay.
The Pig in the Cotswolds is set to open its doors on 2 September, marking the Pig Hotels’ eighth site.
The hotel is a “honey-hued” 17th Century Grade II building, with original listed gardens designed by gardener Rosemary Verey. The rooms feature rich fabrics, reclaimed pieces, spacious showers and bathtubs.
The property also includes Simon Verity sculptures and a listed Gothic Summerhouse plus hidden rooms, secret gardens and a small spa, the Field Spa.
The spa features treatment rooms, a sauna and a sunny outdoor terrace. Additionally, the Kitchen Garden is located at the back of the house.
The Pig acquired the property in January from British furniture brand Timothy Oulton for an undisclosed sum.
