Tregarthen’s Hotel on the Isles of Scilly is opening four new lodges, offering guests new and stunning sea views.
Funded by a business loan from Lloyds, the new lodges feature floor-to-ceiling sea-facing windows across their two levels.
Building works began on the lodges in early 2023 with the accommodation able to welcome its first visitors in October 2024.
The high-spec lodges form a duplex unit, offering beds for up to two guests in each unit.
The four new waterfront lodges are the latest in a series of extensive renovation projects to completely transform it.
This includes building new bedrooms, bringing rooms to the current total of 35, and refurbishment of their lounge space, restaurant and outside terraces.
Tregarthen’s is also investing in its staff accommodation, training and pay, to ensure seasonal workers return year after year.
Rob Baldry, director at Tregarthen’s Hotel, said: “It’s been a long but worthwhile journey to turn the hotel into somewhere that reflects the beauty of its location. This is why making sustainable upgrades has also been so important, as we want to sit in harmony with our surroundings on the Isles of Scilly.
“The unique geography of the Isles has meant there have been logistical challenges in the construction of our newest water-side lodges, but having a banking partner and relationship director that truly understand the local area and can provide support accordingly, has been invaluable.”
