Woodlands Lodge Country House Hotel in Hampshire’s New Forest National Park has been sold off a guide price of £1,775,000.Located a mile from the village of Ashurst, the hotel is situated on a former hunting lodge believed to date back to 1770. Its three-storey detached building is set within three acres of manicured private gardens and surrounded by heathland, native ponies, and forest trails.
The hotel features 18 en-suite guest bedrooms, a large reception area, lounge bar, function and conference rooms, high-specification commercial kitchen and Cattle Grid Restaurant, which offers locally grown and sourced menus as well as produce from its own kitchen garden.
Owned and operated by the current owners, Robert and Imogene Anglaret, for over 13 years, Woodlands Lodge has been popular with both corporate and leisure guests, as well as having a strong local following and Visit Britain accreditation.
Imogene Anglaret said: “Whilst it is of course sad to have sold a business with which we have been involved with for almost 14 years, now is the right time to step back. We wish the new owners every success during their ownership of this profitable hotel in a picturesque location in the New Forest National Park.
“Most importantly we would like to thank the staff, with whom we have shared this memorable journey, for their hard work and dedication over the years.”
Ed Bellfield, regional director of Christie and Co, who is managing the sale, added: “The sale of Woodlands Lodge Hotel represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a successful hotel business with significant repeat patronage, largely due to its continued ownership and continuity within the same family for the past 14 years.
“The reputation and success of the business is testament to the continued re-investment and family stewardship combined with its enviable location in picturesque New Forest National Park.”
