New Forest Hotels has announced its Forest Lodge Hotel has been awarded four-stars by the AA, on 30 November 2018.

Just minutes from Lyndhurst, the ‘capital’ of the New Forest, the 36-room hotel is a former Georgian Dower House built in 1820 on the Northerwood Estate and was used as a hunting box by King George IV. The hotel features views overlooking the New Forest Golf course, a heated indoor swimming pool and a restaurant holding 2 AA Rosettes.

New Forest Hotels also operates six properties located around the New Forest including Bartley Lodge, Beaulieu Hotel, Forest Lodge Hotel and Moorhill House and additionally within their collection, Burley Manor – a restaurant and rooms – and a country pub, the Drift Inn.

Michaela Lisle, managing director, said: “We are delighted with our recent inspection result from the AA, who recognise our commitment in taking the Forest Lodge Hotel from an over performing three-star establishment to a welcome addition as the only officially graded four-star hotel in the town of Lyndhurst.

“The team have worked hard in terms of developing the service and hospitality ethos whilst investment and refurbishment to further uplift quality standards throughout our range of room types very much enhances the full guest experience. Our award-winning dining, bar, lounge, indoor pool and family friendly rooms all make for a great four-star addition to the heart of the national park.”
