Hyatt Place and Hyatt House are set to open in Leeds later this spring under one roof in the heart of Sovereign Square.
Located just a three-minute walk from the railway station, with 217 rooms, Hyatt Place will offer a space to relax and unwind.
Meanwhile, Hyatt House will host a number of studios and one-bedroom suites, featuring fully equipped kitchens, stylish living and working spaces, and a range of complimentary conveniences including daily breakfast and a 24/7 fitness room.
Alongside the 24-hour fitness centre, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House will also be home to a new restaurant, Zoom. Located on the ground floor, Zoom will serve an all-day menu inspired by a fusion of global and local cuisine, with art laden walls, contemporary spaces, colourful interiors, and a familial intimate service.
The hotel will also host numerous meeting rooms, each equipped with free Wi-Fi and state-of-the-art equipment, to cater for corporate functions, executive meetings and training sessions.
The news comes after Hyatt Hotels announced a “record” pipeline of some 138,000 rooms as of year-end 2024, alongside a strategic brand realignment designed to enhance owner returns and accelerate growth.
The group plans to sort its brands into five distinct portfolios: Luxury, Lifestyle, Inclusive, Classics, and Essentials.
According to Hyatt, this move will make it better positioned to serve the unique needs of guests, customers and owners, while aligning expertise and resources to deliver value.
Mark Hoplamazian, president and CEO of Hyatt, said: “Hyatt’s growth and strategic brand evolution reflects our commitment to creating long-term value for owners and driving the performance of our hotels by delivering distinctive experiences for travelers.”
