The Landmark London has announced the appointment of Matteo Sargentelli to the position of head pastry chef.
A “highly skilled and creative” pastry expert, Sargentelli has been an integral part of The Landmark London’s culinary team since 2018, showcasing “exceptional” craftsmanship and innovation in the art of patisserie.
With over a decade of experience in some of London’s most prestigious kitchens, he honed his skills at renowned establishments including Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and Oblix Restaurant.
His journey at The Landmark London has seen him rise through the ranks, from junior pastry sous chef to his most recent role as deputy head pastry chef.
In his new position, he will lead the pastry team in curating a selection of desserts, pastries and confections for the hotel’s dining venues, including the afternoon tea at The Winter Garden Restaurant.
In addition, he will oversee the menus from a dessert perspective for private functions and events, room service and breakfast.
On his appointment, Sargentelli said: “It is an incredible honour to take on the role of head pastry chef at The Landmark London. This five-star hotel has been my home for several years and I am excited to build on its rich heritage and tradition while introducing new, creative and innovative flavours and techniques for our guests to enjoy.”
