Montcalm has announced that Montcalm Mayfair, Autograph Collection has opened its doors following a two-year renovation.

The new hotel offers 151 guest rooms, including three signature suites; the Botanical Suite, The Presidential Suite and the Royal Suite.

The Presidential Suite pays homage to Elizabeth Montagu’s legendary salon culture, featuring rare works by Joan Miró, while the Royal Suite houses a curated collection of lithographs and modern artworks.

Furthermore, the Botanical Suite offers London’s only fully private hotel suite experience, complete with its own entrance. In keeping with all Autograph Collection hotels, Montcalm Mayfair celebrates its “own distinct design honouring its Georgian roots”.

The hotel also includes a new restaurant Lilli by Akira Back, offering a “modern take on British cuisine with global influences”.

The destination bar features a hand-painted abstract ceiling mural and bespoke chandeliers. Alongside this, the hotel’s signature spa features a plunge pool, heat experiences, and four treatment rooms, complemented by soundscapes curated by MindFidelity that echo British woodlands.

Montcalm Mayfair also features the 400 sq m Grand Ballroom, a function room, accommodating up to 350 dinner guests as well as more intimate spaces including The Library and Bloom private dining room.

The refurbishment has been led by architects Holland Harvey and interior designers Studio Est and Studio Mica.

The Montcalm Collection includes Royal London Mutual Insurance Society: Montcalm Royal London House, Montcalm East, Autograph Collection, Inhabit, Southwick Street and Inhabit, Queen’s Gardens, both part of Design Hotels.
