Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour has won a trio of accolades at the inaugural Southampton Hospitality Awards.
Conference and events coordinator, Abigail Russell, was named the ‘Rising Star of the Year’, while Angela Stutchbury, assistant financial controller, won ‘Heart of House of the Year’ and the hotel’s concierge team “beat all competition” for the ‘Top Team of the Year’ accolade.
The Southampton Hospitality Awards, launched by the Southampton and Region Hoteliers Association, celebrates hotels that go “above and beyond the call of duty”. The awards have been designed to seek out high achievers and exceptional teams, that showcase customer service, guest satisfaction and market growth locally.
Formerly the Grand Harbour Hotel, the Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour is located in the city centre on West Quay Road and features 173 rooms and suites, as well as the city’s only Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill.
Barry Watson, GM at the property, said: “We are incredibly proud of our staff and the service they offer guests, so it’s fantastic to see that their efforts are being recognised at the [hotel], the latest hotel to join the Leonardo Hotels family.”
