North Bristol GM to replace Imran Ali as head of BHA

General manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol North, Nadine Rees, has taken over the position of chairperson for the Bristol Hoteliers Association from Imran Ali.

The news comes after Ali left his position to move to the Radisson Blu Hotel in Birmingham. This will be the first female appointment of the chair since the association was reformed in January 2017.

An experienced hotel manager, Rees has worked for Hilton Worldwide for 11 years and has five years’ experience as a GM with over three years working within the Bristol market.

Rees said: “I am a passionate hotelier and I am delighted to have the opportunity to build upon the great work of the previous chairman, Imran and to platform the association to support our fantastic vibrant city. I am also pleased and honoured to be the first female chair of the association as this is a sign of changing times within the hospitality industry.

“2019 will be an exciting year again for Bristol with well established music concerts, global sporting events and our excellent annual city events such as the International Balloon Fiesta, Grill Stock to name a few. With the very real prospect of a new Arena, the city looks set to attract world renowned artists and sporting events which will only further benefit our great city.”

She officially took over from Ali following the Night Of The Stars Awards Dinner that recognises team members within the industry.
