Trump Turnberry makes trio of senior appointments

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Trump Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort on the Ayrshire coast, has announced that it has made a trio of senior appointments.

Returning to property is David Main, senior sous chef de Tournant. With over 20 years of experience, Main began his Turnberry journey in May 2009 as senior chef de partie before moving back to Dubai.

After nine years away, Main has now made the move back to Scotland, returning to Turnberry. He said he is “excited to be back at the resort” and added he is looking forward to “bringing his international background, creative flair and passion for cuisine to his new role”.

Alison MacLeod has also been appointed marketing manager for the resort. MacLeod, who was awarded the Marketing Leader of the Year 2016 by Marriott International, brings experience across two continents to the new role.

Finally, the resort has also appointed Siobhan Moore as an account manager. Born in Ayrshire and with local hospitality experience, the resort said Moore will be the “key point of contact” for many of the resort’s clients. Her new role will see her maintain existing client relationships as well as driving new business growth within the Scottish corporate segment.

MacLeod said: “It’s a thrilling time to be working for Trump Turnberry. The resort has made substantial investment in its accommodation, dining and golfing facilities in the last year and with that there are huge opportunities for growth.

“The key to our continued success will be ensuring our loyal customers remain drawn to the resort, as well as growing the awareness of our fantastic brand and product offer across the UK and beyond.”

Ralph Porciani, GM at Trump Turnberry, added: “We continue to invest in the resort and to improve our offering to ensure our luxury status rings true, with people at the absolute heart of what we do. That’s why it’s so important that we recruit and nurture the right people.

“All three associates have experience within industry-leading companies in their respective fields. We provide a world class service at Trump Turnberry and this is only achievable by employing individuals who have impressive experience, passion and are an ideal fit for the brand. I’m delighted to welcome David, Alison and Siobhan on board and excited to see their progression as we continue to grow the business.”
