De Vere Tortworth Court, part of De Vere’s collection of mansion house estates and contemporary hotels has celebrated the completion of its refurbished mansion house with an exclusive garden party.
Over 200 guests gathered within the 30-acre grounds to enjoy food and drink including a Lanson Champagne bar, 6 O’clock gin bar, canapés, a barbeque and salad bar.
De Vere Tortworth Court’s £6m renovation saw the transformation of meeting rooms into 11 bedroom suites, bringing the total number of guestrooms and suites to 55 within the main house. It also preserved many original features whilst adding new touches to the gothic mansion, including the hotel’s grand staircase, galleries, reception and public areas.
The estate also offers organisers 14 meeting and events spaces, including eight new meetings rooms with conference cafes and executive boardrooms, to the Westminster Suite and the stand-alone Victorian Orangery. All meeting rooms benefit from De Vere’s Smart Space concept, which comprises nine service features.
Guests of the hotel also have access to the state-of-the-art gym and the Leaf Spa with six new treatment rooms, an indoor pool, sauna and steam rooms.
Laurie Nicol, COO at De Vere, said: “De Vere Tortworth Court’s renovation is part of a wider, multi-million-pound investment into the new-look De Vere portfolio. The work has seen the historic mansion house hotels extensively renovated to celebrate their British heritage and the estates’ natural landscapes.
“By restoring these stunning historical buildings and breathing new life into our event spaces, we’re creating inspirational locations where traditional values meet the latest luxuries, 21st-century design and state-of-the-art facilities. De Vere Tortworth Court is no exception to this, and we’re delighted to showcase the results.”
