St. Pancras London has appointed general manager Nicholas Davies to oversee operations as the property continues its next chapter following a rebrand as part of Autograph Collection Hotels. 

Davies joins the London establishment from The Marylebone Hotel, where he served as general manager and managed the property’s luxury market positioning. 

He brings more than 30 years of experience to the role, having held senior positions at various leading UK hotels.

Previous roles include hotel manager at The Langham, London, where he helped the property achieve Forbes Five-Star status. Earlier, Davies held leadership positions at Rocco Forte Hotels, including hotel manager at Brown’s Hotel, London.

A respected figure in the hospitality sector, he holds Master Innholder status and served as chairman of the St Julian Scholars. He also acts as an ambassador for the Accessible Hospitality Alliance.

Davies said: “St. Pancras London is a truly extraordinary hotel with a story unlike anywhere else in London. From the architecture and interiors to its location at the heart of King’s Cross, there is an incredible sense of history and energy surrounding the property. 

“I’m excited to work with the team to build on that legacy, create even stronger storytelling around the hotel and continue driving its position as one of London’s most iconic destinations.”

New leadership for St. Pancras London

Nicholas Davies’s appointment as general manager of St. Pancras London follows the hotel’s recent rebranding as part of Autograph Collection Hotels, which occurred on 3 June 2025. During the rebranding, Ed White, the then-general manager, emphasised the hotel’s rich character and historical significance, stating, “This rebrand brings fresh meaning to every part of the guest journey.” The transformation aims to enhance the guest experience while respecting the property’s longstanding legacy.

Davies’s past leadership roles, including his tenure at The Langham, London, highlight a consistency in the hotel sector where experienced managers are increasingly sought after to foster distinctive branding and position hotels within their respective markets. This trend has been noted across various establishments as they undergo significant changes. For example, a recent extensive refurbishment at St. Pancras London was executed with modern and historical aesthetics in mind, further underscoring the importance of strong management in executing such transformative initiatives.
