Starboard, which own 20 properties across the UK under brands such as IHG, Ibis, Best Western and Days Inn, announced that construction of the Hampton by Hilton at Park Royal hotel is “well under way”.
The 162-bedroom hotel, a £26m investment, incorporates a listed facade and is located right in the heart of the capital, with Wembley Stadium to the north and the Shard to the east.
Representatives from Starboard Hotels, together with friends from construction company the RGB Group, Hilton Worldwide and Ealing Council, assembled for the “topping out” celebrations at the Hampton by Hilton London Park Royal.
Paul Callingham, executive chairman of Starboard Hotels, and Neil Russell, managing director of RGB Group performed the topping out ceremony on the Hampton by Hilton roof.
Callingham said: “The Hampton by Hilton is our twenty-first hotel in the Starboard family which will be opening in March 2020. It will be the first Hilton hotel for Starboard and the first for our company in Britain’s capital city.”
“We are also proud to announce that the Hampton by Hilton London Park Royal will have 162 bedrooms, 17 of which will be fully accessible. There will be a large and comfortable lounge and bar area, with a modern, contemporary restaurant.”
Russell added: “It is a privilege to once again be working with Starboard Hotels on the development of this fantastic scheme. We look forward to delivering the project with the wider team over the coming months.”
