Intercontinental London Park Lane undergoes £22m refurbishment

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Intercontinental London Park Lane has undergone a £22m refurbishment to its The Mayfair Collection bedrooms.

The refurb includes new guestrooms and suites at the Park Lane site. Due for completion in spring 2020 the new room designs aim to offer “the highest standard of luxury accommodation in London.”

Situated at the intersection of two of the Royal Parks, Hyde Park and Green Park, the design developed by RPW represents “the connection of London’s bustling city life with the tranquillity and contact with nature which the parks offer.”

RPW set about creating rooms with a “residential look and feel”, commensurate to the hotel’s location in Mayfair and its “competitive position in the five-star London market.”

Ariane Steinbeck, managing director for PRW said: “It has been a great pleasure to continue the renovation of the InterContinental London Park Lane following the successful refurbishment of The Capital Suite last year.

“The Mayfair Collection reflects RPW’s philosophy; crafting meaningful design that enhances the guest experience through the creation of modern luxurious rooms and suites.”
