The Dunoon Hotel has secured £500,000 in funding which will be put towards an “extensive” renovation project.
The four-star Llandudno site, which recently acquired an adjacent building, will use the funding to renovate the 12,000 sq ft derelict space and create 18 new bedrooms.
The hotel, which currently features 50 bedrooms, said that the project is expected to be completed by February this year. The refurbishment will create a further five jobs for the hotel.
Rhys Williams, managing director of the Dunoon Hotel, said: “I’m very pleased and proud to be on the home straight after spending the last year reviving the derelict property next door to The Dunoon, which means we no longer need to turn people away due to a lack of space.”
He added: “The funding from HSBC UK has been instrumental in helping us provide a new, high-end offer to people who love travelling, as well as helping us realise our ambitions of growing our family-run business. We’re really excited to officially open the building in February 2020.”
