Ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport East hotel opens

The Ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport East hotel officially opened its 125-room hotel last week.

The hotel hosted a launch party and ribbon cutting., and the event was attended by over 100 guests including Splendid Hospitality Group and Accor stakeholders, along with local businesses.

Complementing the Art Deco style interiors of the hotel, guests enjoyed a 1920s inspired event, complete with a red carpet welcome, retro cocktails, small plates, and live music from a blues singer and guitarist. 

Ibis Styles London Heathrow East is the 25th Ibis Styles hotel in the UK and 9th in London.

Late last year, the hotel appointed Waqas Bin Tahir as its new general manager ahead of its opening.

Bin Tahir has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having worked in both Radisson and Ibis Styles hotels for over 14 years. In addition to this, he has an MSc in Tourism Management from Surrey University which ranks top five in the world for tourism.

For the past seven years, he has worked in general manager roles at Ibis Southampton Centre, Ibis Budget Portsmouth and Ibis Budget London Hounslow.
