Hotel chain Travelodge has announced it is currently operating under 50 of its hotels in “critical locations” across the UK to provide accommodation for NHS employees and vulnerable groups amid the coronavirus pandemic.

These Travelodge hotels are located in major cities and towns running from Plymouth to Aberdeen, and includes 20 Travelodge hotels close to major hospitals, including the new Nightingale hospital to support NHS workers. The company is also operating ten hotels across London.

In addition, the company is supporting around 30 local councils around the country by providing accommodation for the less vulnerable.

Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge, spokeswoman said: “In these unprecedented times, our hotel teams across the UK are working enormously hard, under great pressure, to support the national efforts.
