The Swan Hotel Newby Bridge to open on 4 July

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Following government approval, The Swan Hotel at Newby Bridge has announced it will reopen on the 4 July.

The Swan will reopen on a full board, or half board, residents-only basis until further notice in order to comply with social distancing measures, and to maximise the safety of both guests and staff.

The Swan Inn, restaurant and bar will also re-open to residents only, with breakfast, lunch and dinner being served within set periods.

The hotel added that if guests prefer to stay in the comfort of their rooms, room service will be available to order at no extra charge.

The Swan said it knows that a safe and pleasant stay is “essential” and with that in mind, Covid-19 compliance procedures have been implemented to ensure all guests and staff are safe. These include; social-distancing measures, operating at limited capacity, an enhanced hygiene programme and flexible cancellation policy.

Sarah Gibbs, MD of The Swan, said: “After three months of lockdown we’re really happy to announce re-opening. Here at The Swan I like to describe our offering as informal luxury – all the best bits of high-end service and quality offering – without all the show that sometimes prevents you from letting loose and having a good time .

“Beautiful views, amazing scenery, great food and wine, incredible local places to visit, there’s so much that we can offer guests so we’re really excited to be able to give people that dream getaway they are desiring right now.”
