Whittlebury Park has announced its reopening, as well as a new set of safety guidelines backed by the MIA (the Meetings Industry Association) and Visit Britain.

The four-star countryside hotel, golf course and spa resort has now launched its StaySafe Initiative to ensure that it can reopen safely following the ease of lockdown measures. 

StaySafe features a series of safety guidelines, including the use contactless payment where possible, pre-arrival check in, staggered arrivals, clear physical distancing and express check-out facilities. 

New measures also include a fever detection system installed at the main entrance points for team members and guests, frequent sanitising of all public areas, and clear physical distancing measures in place throughout the hotel.

In recognition of the “comprehensive” safety measures it has adopted, the hotel has been awarded the newly-launched ‘Aim Secure’ accreditation from MIA. In addition, it has also been accredited with Visit Britain’s ‘Good to Go’ status.

The hotel is now open for guest bookings, while its Atrium Bistro has resumed its food and drinks service, where all items can be ordered and paid for through a dedicated web-based service.

As well as the main hotel, Atrium Bistro and golf course, its hair studio is also open for pre-booked appointments, with stylists will use personal protective equipment. Customer numbers will also be controlled.            

Charles Sargeant, managing director at Whittlebury Park, said: “Our fantastic team and I have been working hard over these past few months to ensure that Whittlebury Park is in the best possible position to re-open safely. 

“With the backing of events industry association MIA and Visit Britain’s recently launched industry standard, and guided by our own comprehensive StaySafe initiative, we are looking forward to welcoming guests once more to our beautiful hotel.”
