The Rabbit in County Antrim is set to unveil of its new boutique hotel on 6 February 2021.
The venue first opened as a bar and restaurant in July 2020, and now intends to extend the space further this year by incorporating guest bedrooms into the building, as well as an outdoor spa offering.
The owners previously issued a statement on its Facebook page stating its restaurant has had to remain closed “longer than anticipated” in light of ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, but staff are currently working “hard behind the scenes” in preparation for its reopening.
The restaurant officially closed on 15 October to coincide with a four-week lockdown introduced by the NI government. Under these restrictions, hospitality venues are only allowed to open to serve takeaway or delivery.
At the time The Rabbit said: “The health and wellbeing of our guests and our team are our top priority and I want to reassure you of the diligence of our approach.
“We hope that you will continue to come and see us when restrictions are lifted, your support has been and continues to be invaluable to our business and our people.”
It added that it was looking forward to guests booking their stay ahead of its accommodation opening on 6 February.
