Hyatt reveals Thames-side hotel plans

Hyatt, the global hotel firm, has announced plans for a 203-room Park Hyatt London River Thames hotel.

Located in the Nine Elms area, the property will sit on the south bank of the river, directly opposite Westminster.

The scheme represents the company’s intentions to “continue and expand” its operations in the UK.

The hotel will belong to wider developments within the area, including 2,300 new apartments, over 120,000 sq ft of commercial space, and numerous hospitality and leisure projects such as One Thames City.

Michael Purefoy, global brand director at R&F UK, the property developer conducting the scheme, said: “The globally recognised Hyatt name is a valuable addition to the development and we’re pleased to share that this agreement further cements the strong relationship that we continue to enjoy with Hyatt properties across the world.”
