The rumoured sale of boutique hotel chains, Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin, is underway according to reports. 

Sky News reported that KSL Partners, which acquired Malmaison in 2012, and advisors at investment bank UBS, have begun circulating financial information about the company to prospective buyers.

It said that offers were expected in the first week of February.

Hotel du Vin and Malmaison, which currently has a portfolio of 29 hotels, was purchased by KSL Partners in March 2013, afters its previous owner, MWB Group, fell into administration.

Malmaison Group recently acquired the Cannizaro House hotel in Wimbledon, and will invest £1m in renovating the property before reopening it under the Hotel Du Vin brand.
