Farlam Hall Country House hotel in Cumbria has been put on the market for an asking price of £1.8m.
The 12-bedroom hotel, which is part of hotel group Relais Chateaux, has been owned and operated by the Quinion family since 1975, and they are now looking to retire after the sale of the property.
Farlam estate is comprised of three buildings set in six acres of gardens, and includes The Hall, Laundry Cottage and Stable House, which can be purchased either as a whole or separately.
The Hall features 12 bedrooms, a residents lounge and restaurant, the Laundry Cottage is a recently refurbished two bedroom detached bungalow, while the Stable Houses comprise three self-contained cottages.
There is also lapsed planning permission to convert outbuildings into further letting accommodation, should this be required by the new owners.
Mark Worley who is handling the sale with Mike Booth from Christie + Co’s Newcastle and Manchester offices, said that Farlam Hall presents an “unmissable” opportunity to acquire a “high quality” hotel with a profitable trading profile and “stellar” reputation.
He added: “The demand for high-quality provincial UK hotels is tremendous and we anticipate that interest for Farlam Hall will be high.”
