InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has continued to expand its boutique Hotel Indigo brand with the signing of a new property in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The 92-bedroom hotel, which will operate under a franchise agreement with St James’s Hotel Group, will be rebranded from the current Falcon Hotel and feature a restaurant, bar, lounge, gym, and a meeting room.

Anna Corkill, development director for the UK & Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to have signed Hotel Indigo Stratford-upon-Avon with long standing partner St James’s Hotel Group.

“The boutique hotel market is the fastest growing segment in the industry and our pioneering Hotel Indigo brand is going from strength to strength in the UK. The great location of this hotel coupled with its quintessentially British appeal positions it as a destination in its own right.”

The property – expected to open in early 2018 – will join Hotel Indigo’s portfolio of nine properties in the UK, with a further eight in the pipeline.
