Boutique brand has announced the completion of a £1m refurbishment of its Edinburgh property, which was the first hotel to launch under the brand name.
The investment of the 100-bedroom property sees the arrival of the new-look ‘Chez Mal’ brasserie and bar – a concept already introduced to the brand’s properties in London, Newcastle and Leeds – and upgraded bedrooms.
Paul Roberts, CEO of Malmaison Hotel du Vin, said: “Edinburgh was home to our first ever Malmaison and has been a cornerstone of the brand’s success. It is hugely exciting and appropriate to see the hotel’s pioneering nature in evidence once again.
“The re-launch of Malmaison Edinburgh marks the continuation of the multi-million pound investment programme into the brand’s Scottish properties, as well as Malmaison’s sister brand Hotel du Vin.”
The investment is part of the wider multi-million pound investment across the brand’s seven Scottish hotels.
