Jacqui Bentley-McKenna (pictured), owner and director of consultancy business Regoran Ltd, was presented with the Tim Gasson Memorial Award at the recent Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) Annual Dinner, which took place at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.
The eponymous award was named after former HBAA chair and founding member Tim Gasson, who was tragically killed in 2007. The award is given annually to an individual in recognition for their outstanding contribution and promotion of the association.
Presenting the award, past chair of the association Juliet Price said: “Jacqui spearheaded the first HBAA technology showcase and attracted over 200 delegates. Her dedication to the project went above and beyond the call of duty – we are indebted to her in helping the association negotiate the changing face of technology in the sector.
The Tim Gasson Award is held in high esteem both in the association and wider industry as it recognises selfless commitment and drive. We are delighted to recognize Jacqui for demonstrating the same attributes that made Tim so highly valued and respected amongst his peers.”
On receipt of the award Jacqui Bentley-McKenna commented: “It is a huge honour to be recognised in this way, I am thrilled. Technology in our sector is coming to the fore and it is encouraging to see the HBAA embrace the pace and diversity of the products available. I knew Tim well and it is inspiring to see his name remembered through such a prestigious award”.
