Following the death of her husband Scott, Brianna Poole has decided to sell the hotel business she operated alongside her husband for eight years.
Set in its own grounds within the Cairngorm National Park, the 17-bedroom castle is situated among the Glenshee scenery and adjacent to a nine-hole golf course.
Originally built in 1884, the baronial-style property has undergone a complete refurbishment in recent years and, with a feature fireplace, flagstone floors and mix of traditional fabrics and rich wood panelling, affords its guests a warm and hospitable ambience. Included as part of the property is ‘Carriages’; a recently converted self-catering accommodation sleeping 13, which was once the owners’ house.
Christie + Co are marketing the hotel. Ken Sims, director of the Edinburgh office, said: “This is a first-class business set in an idyllic landscape which has seen sales increase year on year. With a 2 Rosette restaurant and quality accommodation, guests are royally provided for in a stunning setting.”
An asking price of £1.75 million is sought for the opportunity.
