Best Western Manor House Hotel receives £250,000 refurbishment

The Best Western Manor House Hotel in Alsager on the Staffordshire/Cheshire border has had £250,000 invested in transforming more than half of its 57 bedrooms.

One year on from a mass redecoration of almost all the hotel’s bedrooms, the hotel’s owner Compass Hotels Ltd has invested in the installation of 29 new bathrooms and an upgrade to the hot water supply in the 17th century part of the hotel.

In addition to the bathroom upgrades, new carpet has been laid in 21 bedrooms and a further 28 have been redecorated.

All guest accommodation now includes flat screen televisions complete with Freeview and an information channel providing guests with weather updates and local traffic feeds. Apple product docking stations are also provided in each room, allowing guests with iPods, iPads and iPhones to charge their devices.

Ostler Restaurant, the hotel’s 17th Century eatery, has had its chairs re-upholstered as part of the refurbishment.

Best Western Manor House Hotel’s general manager Jayne Chapman said: “This is an exciting time for the hotel and its owners. A lot of thought and planning has gone into the refurbishment project and aside from the new bedrooms and bathrooms, the addition of Freeview flat screen televisions and [Apple product] docking stations into all the bedrooms will really enhance our customers’ experience.”

Members of the public and local businesses are invited to attend the refurbished hotel’s open day on 19 September.
