Based in Sunderland, the hotel achieved the award after passing rigorous inspection by hotel affiliate Best Western.
As a result of the inspection, the Best Western Roker now ranks as one of the group’s top ten venues nationwide.
All of Best Western’s partner hotels undergo an annual inspection, which looks at the hotel’s guest sleeping experience, the quality of its bedrooms, restaurants, food, customer service and brand awareness. To receive an IQA, the venue must achieve a minimum of 975 out of 1,000 points across each section.
The 43-bedroom Best Western Roker earned its IQA with an overall score of 979.
Director of Tavistock Leisure Ltd, owners of the hotel, Keith Donkin said: “We are delighted to have achieved the IQA for the fourth year in a row.
“It is through continual investment and staff development that we are able to achieve such a prestigious award year after year.”
