Gisborough Hall has become an independent hotel today (31 March) for the first time since it opened.
The ownership and management of the hotel will remain the same, but it will now no longer be operated under the Macdonald Associate hotel group.
The family-owned hotel and restaurant will continue to run its Yorkshire based venue with a period of investment, and the decision to become fully-independent coincides with the property’s fifteen year anniversary this April.
A multi-million pound investment is planned for the hotel, including a new in-house reservations team and updated technology. These developments will be an addition to the new spa which will be built this year and opened in 2018.
Kim Yardley, hotel manager, said: “Visitors to Gisborough Hall will not see any initial difference at all as the team remains the same, as does our offering.
“However, our new independent status is allowing us to invest and develop as we see appropriate for both the local community and to encourage visitors to the region.”
