With less than a month to go before the first ever Hospitality Technology Expo, organisers have revealed the details of the keynote opening and closing panel sessions.
The event will begin with a panel session titled ‘Securing guest information in a world with no boundaries’. The session’s panel includes, among others, a renowned hotelier, Visa’s vice president of payment risk systems, and the European director of the PCI Security Standards Council. Panellists will discuss payments and transactions and the struggle hotels face to stay secure.
More than 35 speeches, industry panel debates, case studies and buyer-only master classes are set to feature during the two day Hospitality Technology Expo.
The event will close with a collection of senior hotel executives, including a CIO, two marketing directors and a vice president, gathering for the panel discussion, ‘Marketing or IT department – who’s driving who in the social media and mobile demands?’. Panellists will discuss how hotels are increasingly blurring the line between who looks at social media and mobile demands, how this function helps the hotel and whose responsibility it is to drive forward revenue.
Event manager of Hospitality Technology Expo Claudia Harris commented: “The opening and closing panel discussions always set the tone for an event and, with less than 30 days to go until the first ever edition kicks off, we thought we’d give prospective visitors a sneak peak of what they can expect when we open our doors next month.
“For both the opening and closing sessions we’ve gathered the crème de la crème of the hospitality technology sphere; individuals who will without a doubt be able to provide intelligence to attendees to help keep them up to date with industry trends and improve their competitive edge.”
The first ever Hospitality Technology Europe will take place on 5 and 6 February at Earls Court, London.
