Creating the ultimate outdoor dining experience can be a real challenge for hotel owners, particularly during winter.

Guests love nothing more than being able to dine al-fresco, even in cooler weather, which means you can really benefit from extending your outdoor area to give your customers that unique dining experience.

By investing in an outdoor canopy solution, you can instantly turn your unused terrace into an inviting outdoor dining area, where guests can sit and enjoy a drink or lunch with friends, adding real value to your venue.

Bring the outdoors, indoors

We’ve worked with many hotel owners over the years, who’ve created trendy al-fresco hotspots by installing one of our Cantabria systems. They’ve also given their guests (and competitors) something to talk about in the process.

Featuring a retractable roof that’s operated with a remote or smart device, the pioneering canopy solution brings the outdoors, indoors, creating a unique luxury dining experience that can be tailored to your requirements.

Available with a range of glass sides, including fixed, folding, sliding, balustrade and internal, that can be retracted in the finer months or partially or fully closed in wet, cold or more changeable weather, the Cantabria can also generate up to 184 additional weekly covers* and an additional weekly revenue of more than £7,000.**

How The Garrick Hotel transformed their underused terrace into a thriving sea view party spot

The Garrick Hotel wanted to make more of their terrace area that overlooked St Ives Bay as it was rarely used. They wanted people to stay and have a drink there after using the pool and sauna, but found that their guests tended to head straight back to their rooms and the main hotel.

With wonderful views, the terrace area was somewhere the hotel’s owners felt could be made more inviting. In their eyes, it was a missed opportunity to increase the food and drink sales they made within their leisure complex.

So, they installed one of our Cantabria canopies. And as a result, their guests can now enjoy the hotel’s spectacular sea views, regardless of what the weather’s doing. In fact, the new terrace area has become a venue in its own right and has been used to host many reception and wedding parties within the St Ives community.

The Cantabria means our customers stay longer as we can alter its configuration according to the conditions. Interestingly, it’s become a venue in its own right. Local people are using the canopy and we have hosted a few parties in it too. We have groups lunching there and are serving more food than in the hotel restaurant. People often admire the quality of the structure and it is great for staff to be able to ensure customer comfort by opening or closing the canopy and controlling the heaters, all at the touch of a button.
