The Strand Palace Hotel in London has appointed Kelly O’Neill as its new director of sales.
O’Neill brings with her a wealth of international hospitality industry experience, having worked for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in Australia and Hilton Hotels in the United Kingdom.
She will be responsible for introducing the new Strand Palace room offering to the market during the hotel’s refurbishment phase, as well as increasing current revenues for existing rooms.
The Strand Palace Hotel in London unveiled the first of its newly refurbished guestrooms last month, now available to the public.
This initial release in early March 2018 covers all rooms on the hotel’s ninth floor. The hotel’s ground floor, home to the reception, concierge, restaurant and bars will also undergo renovations, with the full refurbishment project set to be complete by April 2020.
Set on the heart of the Strand, the hotel is located near Covent Garden and the River Thames. The 785-bedroom property also houses the Carvery and Grill, Lounge Bar, Sacred Café and Gin Palace cocktail bar.
O’Neill said: “I’m delighted to be a part of the Strand Palace team at this exciting time of refurbishment, and look forward to driving sales forward for this perfectly situated hotel in the heart of London’s West End.”
David MacRae, general manager of the Strand Palace, added: “We are very pleased to have Kelly on board at the Strand Palace Hotel. Her international experience in hotel refurbishment and increasing hotel revenue is a great asset to us and we look forward to her contributions as part of the team.”
