New 120-room Dundee hotel to open ahead of Golf Championship

Sleeperz Hotel Dundee, a new 120-room waterfront hotel, will open on 9 July in time for The Open Golf Championship – taking place 12 miles away in Carnoustie.

Sleeperz Hotels will officially open its fourth UK property above the redeveloped Dundee Railway Station with a team of 40 staff ready to welcome guests and golf fans. The hotel is part of a £14m redevelopment of Dundee Railway Station managed by Dundee City Council and was constructed by Balfour Beatty.

All 120 rooms feature premium fixtures and fittings including bespoke handmade Sleepeezee mattresses, Grohe shower fittings and bathroom fittings by Villeroy and Boch. High speed Wi-Fi is free throughout and rooms also come with laptop safes, innovative space-saving furniture and tea and coffee making facilities as standard.

Sleeperz already operates hotels in Cardiff, Newcastle and Edinburgh, all within easy walking distance of mainline rail stations, and is looking to expand with sites under consideration in London, Glasgow and Manchester.
