Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa has been named Scotland’s ‘Leading Boutique Hotel’ in this year’s World Travel Awards.
The newly renovated four-star hotel, which is part of Crerar Hotels portfolio, has been recognised amongst Scotland’s top offerings including Golf View Hotel and Spa, after being shortlisted in the summer.
The island hotel located within the picturesque pocket of Craignure Bay underwent a £4.5m refurbishment of the hotel’s bedrooms, restaurant and public spaces as well as the launch of Driftwood Spa last year.
The award win was announced at the 29th annual World Travel Awards in Spain on Saturday 1 October 2022. The global awards recognise and honour the very best in travel and tourism and are voted for by travel professionals, media and consumers worldwide.
Chris Wayne-Wills, CEO of Crerar Hotels, said: “We are incredibly proud we have been able to continue to invest in the Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa which is one of the reasons why we believe we have been successful in The World Travel Awards, and the upgrade has been extremely well-received by guests.
“We were amongst some of the country’s leading hotels, so it is a real honour to be recognised and to achieve the title of Scotland’s ‘Leading Boutique Hotel.’
He added: “It is fantastic that our offering is standing out following the refurbishment and launch of the spa, it truly is the place to stay when looking for an island getaway as it offers luxury, wellness and adventure, ensuring something for every traveller.”
