Prestonfield House in Edinburgh and Cromlix hotel in Dunblane have joined the Pride of Britain Hotels (PoB) collection.
The PoB is a curated collection of independent British hotels aimed at “showcasing the best of British hospitality”.
Prestonfield House is owned by hospitality aficionado James Thomson OBE and is situated five minutes from the centre of Edinburgh. It has 20 acres of gardens located next to Arthur’s Seat with 23 unique rooms and destination restaurants.
Cromlix is owned by Sir Andy Murray and his wife Kim Murray but has been closed for three months to undergo “extensive” renovations.
The hotel will be transformed into a five-star destination comprising 15 luxury bedrooms and a gate lodge.
Kalindi Juneja, CEO of PoB Hotels, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Cromlix and Prestonfield House into PoB Hotels, expanding our collection of independent hotels in Scotland.
“The essence of PoB Hotels is built on its British heritage, honouring provenance and sincere, authentic service, all qualities that these hotels depict.Scotland is always a key destination for our guests, so we are delighted to bring these new experiences to them.”
Thomson, owner of Prestonfield House, added: “As a small, independently run hotel in the heart of Edinburgh we feel that PoB Hotels perfectly reflects our values here at Prestonfield House. We are delighted to be part of this collection of the finest luxury hotels and look forward to working together with Kalindi and the PoB Hotels team.”
The PoB was set up 40 years ago in 1982 when a group of passionate hoteliers joined forces to create a British hotel collection.
