Chef Yannick Alléno will open Bar Antoine, an addition to Pavyllon London, at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane on 1 July.
The venue is named after the chef’s late son, Antoine Alléno, who was also an up-and-coming chef to celebrate his love of hospitality, as well as his “joyous spirit and zest of life”.
Bar Antoine will serve innovative cocktails with culinary techniques pioneered by chef Alléno applied to the drink list, coupled with a menu featuring dishes that evoke a sense of nostalgia.
The venue was designed in collaboration with Parisian designer Chahan Minassian, who also designed Pavyllon London, to exude easy warmth with wood-panelled walls for a “retro” feel.
It will also have an eclectic music offering that ranges from live soulful jazz to the chef’s native French music and friendly atmosphere.
Bar Antoine will also benefit from plush seating upholstered in bouclés, mohair velvets and woven silks, which echo the main dining areas.
Guests will step through the doors to the expansive terrace in the heart of Mayfair, designed as an “elegant and discreet” garden with an additional 30 covers.
