Valor Hospitality, the global hotel management company, has appointed Jon Colley as its new chief strategic growth officer to help grow its UK and Europe portfolio.

Colley’s role will focus on identifying new opportunities both in the UK and in Europe, with new and existing partnerships, to help the group reach its target to manage a quality portfolio of 60-plus hotels in the region.  

Valor has seen significant growth in recent years, having extended its UK portfolio from 10 to almost 40 hotels over the last decade, and 100 globally. 

The group said it hopes to continue on this trajectory through Colley’s appointment, while increasing opportunities to grow its team and bring in new talent to the business.  

Colley brings a wealth of experience to the role, including senior development and leadership roles with IHG and Hilton, and more recently as executive vice president of Acquisitions and Development at PPHE Hotel Group. 

Colley said: “Valor is a wonderful company and one I have admired for some time now and am excited and proud to be joining. The organisation’s commitment to its hotels, partners, team members and guests is second to none and will enable us to reach our ambitious targets.  

“By focusing on great projects, with high-quality partners and contracts that have longevity, we strengthen Valor’s position as the preferred management partner in the UK and beyond. I’m looking forward to helping the business achieve its ambitions over the coming years.”
